Upgrade
Upgrade to Plan Workspace 2.0 safely
The workspace owner reviews the conversion; existing projects and original plans are retained.
Update every editing device from its original Store. Finish drawing drafts, sync eligible changes and export a portable backup before upgrading.
As Owner, open Cloud and choose Review Plan Workspace 2.0 upgrade. Review the saved workspace and Cloud checks, then choose Start reviewed upgrade.
Keep the app open while plan files and Cloud baselines are checked. If interrupted, return on the same device and use Resume reviewed upgrade; keep its saved data.
Open upgraded workspace. In Cloud, complete the reviewed Team approval upgrade and recipe calculation upgrade when offered. Each stage retains recovery checkpoints.
Update other devices before joining the upgraded workspace. Older clients may be held or read-only; do not clear their data to bypass an upgrade warning.
The public web workspace supports the reviewed upgrade. Native delivery follows Store approval. A separate test copy remains available for practice and never activates your Cloud workspace.
Combine compatible measured quantities while retaining the original members.
In Takeoffs, select a row and choose Create scope, or choose Group selected for several compatible measurements.
Review each member, operation and unit. Plan Workspace 2.0 scopes can combine compatible measurements across sheets while keeping each source revision.
Open Quantity tools · evidence, recipes, rooms and repeats. Use the quantity evidence ledger to check contributions and deductions.
Select a linked quantity to return to its drawing sources. Resolve stale or missing source evidence before pricing or issuing.
Check estimate units and linked quantities after editing a measurement. Revisit any calculation marked for review.
Review finishes, repeated units and spatial quantities
Enter project assumptions explicitly and inspect the result before applying.
For wall finishes, choose Create wall-finish takeoff. Review wall heights, finished faces and each opening, then Review wall-finish quantities and Apply reviewed wall finishes.
For repeated rooms or units, choose Create repeated takeoff. Name each occurrence, inspect exceptions and detached instances, then Review repeated quantities and Apply repeated quantities.
For pitch, rises, drops and spacing, choose Create spatial takeoff. Check pitch, individual vertical lengths and spacing exclusions.
Choose Review spatial quantities and inspect the ledger before Apply reviewed spatial quantities. Rises and drops add; they do not cancel.
Recheck edited source geometry. Wall finishes remain separate from room floor area; exceptions are not automatically identical to the template.
Keep outside data and the final issue tied to the intended revision.
Use Libraries and tools to open the supported Excel or CSV import review. Select the intended worksheet and check mapped columns, units and prices before applying.
Review supported PDF annotations against the original page. Unsupported annotations or missing files require manual review.
Before issuing, resolve source, calibration, quantity and pricing checks. Confirm required Team approvals for the exact estimate revision.
Use the issue review and Confirm and prepare issue only after the evidence and audience are correct. Retain the issued baseline and open the exported PDF.
Export marked plans with the intended review layer. Keep source drawings, a portable backup and customer/internal issue copies with appropriate access.
An issued baseline records reviewed inputs. It does not replace the estimator’s responsibility for the final bid.
Use a verified email, a unique password, and MFA recovery details you control before connecting paid access or cloud devices.
Create the account with an email address you can access.
Open the newest Rivet confirmation email before the first sign-in.
In Account Center > Security, scan the MFA QR code with an authenticator app and confirm a current code.
Store the recovery codes privately. Rivet Support cannot recreate an authenticator code or read an old recovery code.
Before choosing a workspace, use Account security and billing for private security, billing and app-update notices. These do not require Team access. Solo and Trial still exclude Team assignments, discussions, shared reviews and the collaboration inbox; a profile does not create a public social profile.
Keep plans, estimate revisions, customer information, and exports together in one project.
Choose New project and enter a recognizable project name.
Add the customer, location, due date, and estimate details you already know; return later for anything uncertain.
Finish project details and Edit project open the named project's details while keeping your current workspace open. Cancel discards the details draft; Close and Escape do the same. Keyboard focus returns to the opener when it is still available. If it is disabled or hidden, focus returns to an available page control. Save project updates that project's details; then choose its next Plans action when you are ready to open its workspace. Any Cloud exit choice applies when you actually switch projects.
Open the project card and follow the highlighted next action through Plans, Takeoff, Estimate, Review, and Proposal.
When Rivet shows “Opening your estimator workspace,” keep the app open until the selected project workspace appears.
Use Search projects, status filters and Recent, Name or Estimate value ordering to find a saved job. Show more projects adds another batch; Reset filters restores the full portfolio view.
At the active-project limit, use Project actions > Edit project to update saved details or mark a finished bid Awarded, Lost or Archived. Existing projects stay editable. Creating or duplicating another active project, or reactivating an inactive one, requires available capacity.
Search Rivet finds local projects, drawing sheets, takeoffs, estimate lines, help and commands. Enter words in any order, including without accents. Use arrow keys to reach a result and Enter to open it; Escape closes search. Takeoff and estimate results focus the matching row, clearing list filters when needed.
In the updated workspace, the bottom More menu opens Review, Proposal, Settings and libraries. Estimate options contains exports and versions; Libraries and tools contains importing, costing and planning tools. Settings changes save automatically; Done closes the panel.
Use a sample project only for learning or testing. Do not mix sample scope into a customer project.
Keep the plan file, sheet identity, revision, and verified scale together before quantity work begins.
Open Plans and import the original PDF, PNG, or JPG plan file.
Confirm the sheet number, title, revision, and page orientation against the source drawing.
On the desktop website, open Sheet tools for revision and PDF actions. In Plan Workspace 2.0, Scale & geometry contains scale evidence, scale regions and parent-hole editing. Press Escape or click outside to close a tool menu. Estimate and Review keep the worksheet and cost panel side by side with independent scrolling.
On phones and tablets with the updated Plans layout, use Measure, Scale, Markup and More to open one tool group at a time. Tap the same group again to close it; choosing a measurement tool also closes Measure.
Use the sheet button beside the sheet number to open the plan library. Scale contains Calibrate drawing; Markup contains drawing annotations; More contains sheet actions and workflow progress. Active measurement controls remain outside these groups.
Search sheets by number, title, revision, file name, tags or extracted drawing text. Words can be entered in any order, with or without accents. The result count and group counts describe every filtered sheet. Each expanded group initially shows up to 60 sheets; choose Show more in that group to reveal its next batch. Show archived includes retained archived sheets; Show all sheets clears a failed search and includes them.
Use Fit to bring the sheet into view, then pan or zoom without changing its measurement scale.
Keep the original plan file with the project so a restored backup can relink it if needed.
The grouped mobile layout is live on web. Installed apps receive it through their store update. The separately labelled upgrade test copy saves on this device and does not replace or sync your existing Cloud workspace.
A printed or detected scale is a starting point, not proof. Compare it with a known dimension on the same revision.
Choose Calibrate, then mark both ends of a known dimension on this revision. Confirm detected scale accepts the selected printed scale; it does not perform a two-point check.
Enter that printed length in feet or metres; ratio-labelled metric sheets default to metres.
Check a second known dimension when one is available.
Do not price measured work while the sheet still reports an unverified or missing scale.
Rivet never guarantees that a drawing scale is correct. The estimator remains responsible for verification.
Keep each measurement linked to its plan. Group compatible takeoffs before pricing, while keeping their measurements individually editable.
Choose length, area, or count for the scope being measured.
Place points deliberately and finish the geometry before changing tools.
When using a keyboard, focus the plan canvas. Use the arrow keys to move its cursor two plan units, or hold Shift to move ten. Press Enter or Space to place a point, Backspace to remove the last point, F to finish a valid preview, or Escape to cancel the in-progress drawing. Hold Alt while placing to bypass snapping. The status reports cursor position and snapping; placement guidance says which point comes next.
Open Measure > Snaps on compact screens to choose endpoints, intersections, midpoints, nearest line or curve, and perpendicular targets. The status shows the number of supported PDF segments. Partial coverage means some complex or masked artwork is excluded; scanned plans use existing measurement points. Zoom in to separate dense targets, use [ and ] to cycle choices, or hold Alt to place freely.
Name the measurement and connect it to the intended takeoff rather than relying on colour alone.
Use Search takeoffs to find names, sheets, layers, units or review states. Combine it with status and layer filters. Sort the view by saved order, name, plan sheet, quantity or Review-first priority; sorting changes only display order and never edits measurements. Reset filters clears list filters; numbered pages keep larger lists manageable. Searching changes visibility and leaves quantities and review state intact.
In Takeoffs, select two or more eligible rows, choose Group selected, enter a Group name, then choose Create group.
To add more rows to an existing group, select the group and the new rows together, then use Group selected again.
Open a group's member details and choose Open measurement to edit one measurement on its plan. Ungroup separates an eligible group before pricing; it does not delete the measurements.
Review open geometry, duplicate counts, and disconnected takeoffs before pricing.
Grouping needs linked plan measurements with matching units and compatible source sheets and revisions. Manual rows or copied rows without measurement links cannot be grouped. Rows already used by an estimate cannot be grouped or ungrouped, even if their price is zero. Groups containing cutout deductions cannot be ungrouped. Layer and trade filters only change which rows you see; they do not create groups.
Estimate lines should identify their quantity source, unit, rate, and resulting line total before review.
Create an estimate line from a connected takeoff, or add a manual line when the work is not plan-based.
Confirm the description, quantity, unit, unit cost, and taxable state.
Open the connected cost trail to trace a measured line back to its sheet, scale state, measurement, waste, and takeoff.
Review zero-price and disconnected items instead of treating them as complete.
Use Sort to arrange the visible lines by description, cost code, quantity, or line total. Sorting only changes display order; it does not change saved estimate inputs or issue state.
Use the header checkbox to select or clear visible lines. A mixed checkbox means some visible lines are selected; lines hidden by search or division filters keep their selection.
In Edit selected, blank fields keep each line's value. Apply changes commits the preview; Cancel, Escape, Close editor, or toggling the editor closed discards pending fields while retaining the selected lines.
Use Review to check calibration, disconnected work, zero prices, customer details, risks, and proposal privacy before deciding whether the estimate is ready.
Resolve or acknowledge missing calibration, open geometry, disconnected takeoffs, and zero-price items.
Estimate confidence review shows the first four checks. Show more checks reveals further findings in batches. Open estimate line, Open takeoff and Open measurement take you to existing affected work; quote and pricing actions open the corresponding editor. These actions do not approve, reprice or mark work reviewed.
Review pricing settings opens Current project pricing and focuses the rate named by the check, such as Sales tax. Review the saved rate yourself; opening the control does not change it.
Search review checks matches words in the existing check messages. Check severity limits the visible list to required corrections or recommended review. The total and required counts stay visible even when no checks match. Reset review filters restores the first batch and focuses search; filters do not resolve a check or approve the estimate.
Review risk opens the register at the named saved risk, with its Edit action focused. Choose Edit to focus the existing title; Cancel edit returns to that risk without saving. Opening or cancelling a risk does not accept or close it, or apply contingency. Risk details and actions stack on narrow screens.
Review scope, alternates, allowances, exclusions, risks, tax, customer details, and the final total.
Save a named revision and portable backup before issuing important work.
Mark the estimate ready only after a qualified estimator has completed the review.
Rivet can surface checks, but it cannot guarantee estimate accuracy, completeness, code compliance, savings, or bid outcome.
Confirm the audience, revision, customer, scope, exclusions, expiry, and total in the preview that will become the PDF.
Choose the reviewed estimate revision and confirm the customer details.
Review scope, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, payment terms, and validity period.
Resolve preparation checks lists every distinct reason blocking preview or customer issue. Show more reasons reveals further checks; Edit proposal details and Open estimate review open the existing work. A valid phone-only customer can preview or download while email delivery still requires a valid email address.
A preparation reason opens and focuses its existing contact, scope, payment or validity field. Currency reasons open Currency in Settings; Rivet does not change the choice. Quote validity accepts whole days from 1 to 3,650, following the same limit as customer issue checks. Alternate reasons open the optional-pricing section because they do not identify a unique option.
Quote details autosave as you type. Done, Close and Escape keep your edits. Check the displayed local save status; if it needs attention, keep Rivet open and check device storage before retrying. Closing the form does not verify a failed save.
Open the customer preview and compare it with the intended final document.
Export or share only after the privacy summary and total are correct.
Connect permitted devices to the same workspace, check local-save and Cloud status separately, and resolve competing copies before replacing work.
On the first authorized device, open Settings > Rivet Cloud and choose Connect Cloud workspace.
For a Team or Enterprise member, send an email invitation from Account > Team. The invited person accepts with their own Rivet account; no workspace key is shown or emailed.
If Rivet asks for approval, keep the request open. An authorized connected colleague checks the person and device, chooses Approve device, then Confirm approval. A pending notice first offers Review this device.
On the requesting device, choose Check now, or open its approved notice and choose Finish connecting this device. If the request page was closed or restarted, start a new request on that device. Opening or refreshing a notice does not approve or connect a device. An expired, replaced or unavailable request cannot be used for a different device.
For one of your own installed devices, you can still generate a ten-minute pairing code from a connected device. A code works once.
If Rivet reports newer Cloud work or a conflict, first verify your local save and keep a portable backup. Read the recovery choices and confirmation before downloading or replacing a workspace; preserve any unsent work.
For paused protected Cloud access after a key change or interrupted reconnect, choose Review protected recovery. Read the confirmation and choose Recover protected access or Resume protected recovery. Rivet verifies saved records and requests across your workspaces. Cancel keeps the saved versions; if verification stops, keep your work and retry the reviewed recovery.
Revoke a lost or retired device from the current connected-device list. A revocation notice records the access change; it does not reconnect the device.
Email invitations never contain the workspace key. Rivet Cloud manages protected workspace keys and can temporarily access them to validate records and connect approved devices; it is not a zero-knowledge service. Share a pairing code only between your permitted devices and never send it to support.
Portable backups protect important milestones independently of a browser, device, or live cloud connection.
Download a portable workspace backup after important milestones and before replacing a device.
Keep at least one copy away from the device running Rivet.
Before restoring a backup, read which workspace will be replaced and save any newer work you want to keep.
A normal portable backup includes the referenced plan files. If an older or emergency copy lacks a plan, choose Relink plan and select the original drawing.
A portable .rivet backup is not encrypted. Store it privately and confirm the download or share action saved the file. An encrypted Team recovery file contains draft references only. An account export contains private account data and has no restore command. Use the portable workspace backup to preserve projects and plans.
Use the Rivet download page for the current version, platform requirements, and update instructions.
Open the Rivet download chooser on the device where you want to install Rivet.
Check the version and platform requirements before downloading.
In a supported installed edition, Account Center > App updates checks for a newer verified release on that installation's own route. Review its notes before opening the Store or Android download.
On Android, an update must use the same signing lineage as the installed app; otherwise uninstalling may remove local-only app data.
Back up important projects before any uninstall or device replacement.
A general release-notes page does not prove that an update is offered for this installation. Opening a Store or download route does not install an update or confirm that installation finished. An offline or unverified check is not proof that the app is current.
Most account, pairing, cloud, and installation messages explain what to do next. Keep private credentials out of support requests.
Confirm your email: open the newest Rivet confirmation message, then sign in again.
Session expired: sign out, sign back in, and repeat the protected action.
Pairing code expired: create a fresh code on a connected device and use it within ten minutes.
Newer Cloud work or a conflict: verify your local save, keep a portable backup, and read the recovery choices before downloading or replacing a workspace.
Account export unavailable: refresh its exact status, then use Start a new export after the displayed retry wait. Do not use an expired download.
App update cannot be verified: reconnect and check App updates. Keep the same installation channel; preserve local work before any uninstall.
Still blocked: send Support the device type, Rivet version, action you were taking, and exact message shown in the app.
Never send passwords, MFA recovery codes, licence keys, purchase tokens or live pairing codes to Support. Share private project files only through an approved secure support route.
Settings apply while you edit. Check the device-settings status separately from the current project's saved state.
Open Settings to change drawing defaults, display controls and startup preferences. Done, Close and Escape keep your changes.
If device settings need attention, keep Rivet open and choose Retry device settings. The current choices remain available in this session until storage can be verified.
If saved device settings could not be read, Rivet keeps their saved bytes and skips startup animation and sound for this launch. After reading succeeds, retry restores the other saved fields while retaining settings you explicitly changed in this session.
Check Current project separately for pricing, currency and estimate changes. A verified device-settings save does not verify the estimate's save.
If retry still cannot read or verify the settings, contact Support with the exact message and device type. Keep important project backups before clearing app storage or reinstalling.
Device preference recovery does not reset or replace your estimate. Check the separate Regional format status for language, region and currency defaults.
Save estimate checks current local persistence. Cloud synchronization and portable backups remain separate.
Open Estimate and choose Save estimate. On compact screens, use the Save icon at the right of the project bar. Changes also use local autosave as you work.
Wait for Verifying save to finish. The project bar shows Saved locally only when current changes are verified. A local confirmation does not confirm Cloud synchronization.
If the save is not verified, keep Rivet open and review local save status. Resolve pending measurement saves or protected recovery messages, let another save finish, then retry Save estimate.
Changes made during verification need their own current save. An earlier captured estimate cannot verify a newer edit; retry after completing the edit.
Check the separate Cloud status before moving to another device. Keep portable backups for independent recovery; opening an export or share panel alone does not confirm a saved backup.
Large drawing workspaces can take longer to verify. Keep Rivet open until the current save finishes, even if an earlier save finished quickly. The current and previous saved copies must pass recovery checks. A changed or unsupported saved recovery copy stays retained and blocks verification; review recovery before trying again. After a failed save, retry explicitly and wait for current verification; progress from the failed attempt is not a saved acknowledgement. Verifying save temporarily disables the Save action to avoid overlapping requests. It does not approve the estimate or mark it ready to issue.
Choose how to leave a project with pending Cloud changes
The Cloud exit prompt keeps its choices in keyboard focus. Stay here keeps the current project; leaving without syncing does not upload its changes.
When Sync before leaving this project appears, keyboard focus starts on Stay here. Tab and Shift+Tab move among the available choices inside the prompt.
Stay here or Escape dismisses the prompt while keeping your project open. Focus returns to the opener when it is available. Escape waits while Sync is busy, just like the disabled Stay here button.
Choose Sync & open project to upload and wait for verified Cloud acknowledgement. If Sync fails, Rivet keeps the current project and explains the failure. Retry or choose Stay here; no failure automatically opens the other project.
Choose Leave without syncing only when you intend to continue without uploading now. Check local save and sync later before relying on another device's copy.
When closing Rivet, the same choices are Stay here, Close without syncing and Sync & close. Closing still follows local save and workspace-operation guards.
These choices do not replace a portable backup or approve an estimate. Cloud acknowledgement and local save are separate checks.
Keep regional choices when their save needs attention
Language and regional format apply in the current session. Check their own saved status. A currency label does not convert estimate amounts.
Choose language and region in Settings or first-run setup. Settings changes apply while you edit; Done, Close and Escape keep them. If Regional format uses default settings, choose Save regional format to keep the shown defaults on this device.
If Regional format needs attention, current labels and formatting keep using your choices in this session. Keep Rivet open and choose Retry regional format to verify their save.
If saved regional format could not be read, unread saved bytes are kept. Temporary defaults apply. Retry restores other saved fields after reading succeeds while keeping fields you explicitly changed.
Check Current project separately after changing its currency in Settings. Choosing a currency label does not convert estimate amounts, rates, quantities or plan geometry. Confirm the intended currency before issuing a proposal.
If reading or verification still fails, contact Support with the exact message and device type. Preserve project backups before clearing app storage or reinstalling.
Regional format, device preferences and the current project have separate save checks. Some advanced workspace text remains in English; changing language does not promise full translation coverage.
Existing projects remain editable at the active-project limit. Creating, duplicating or reactivating an active project requires available capacity.
Read the active-project count and your plan's limit in the Projects header. Reaching the limit does not hide or delete saved projects.
Use Project actions > Edit project to update a saved project's name, type, location, due date or completion. This edits the named project while keeping your current workspace open.
When a bid is finished, choose the appropriate Awarded, Lost or Archived status in Edit project, then Save project. These statuses free active capacity without deleting the project's plans or estimate. If already over the limit, finish enough bids for the active count to fall below it.
Creating or duplicating another active project, or reactivating an inactive one, needs available capacity. If reactivation is blocked, the details draft stays open; keep an inactive status or cancel, then free capacity before retrying.
Check local save separately after editing. Changing a project's status does not approve an estimate, verify a Cloud upload or replace a portable backup.
Your account's editing permissions still apply. Imported or downgraded workspaces can remain over the limit without removing saved projects.
Saved views and detail links remember a drawing location on this device for the named project. Search by view name, revision or page; a replaced, rotated or unavailable source needs a new view.
Open Plans > plan library > Saved views and detail links. Search saved views by name, revision or page; separate words narrow the results and accents are optional. Clear view search restores all views without changing them.
With the original drawing ready, enter a View name and choose Save current view. Check the saved-on-this-device message. A failed or unverified write retains your name draft: use Reload saved views, review the current list, and retry. A competing window's newer view must be retained.
At 200 saved views or 500 detail links, remove an unused entry before adding another. Removing a view with linked details asks before removing those links too. Keyboard removal moves focus to a nearby available entry or Search saved views; a failed removal focuses Reload saved views. Search only filters views; it does not delete them or hide the drawing's detail links.
Choose Open view or Open detail only when its original drawing revision and orientation are available. A changed or rotated drawing does not silently reuse an old view; save a new one after checking the source.
To link the current drawing to a saved detail, enter a Detail name, select an available Saved detail and choose Add detail link. Check the verified local message before assuming the link is saved.
Saved views are local navigation aids. Their save message does not verify the estimate save, Cloud sync, scale or quantities, and they are not a portable recovery backup.
Measurement presets copy defaults into new work. Their library is local to this device and workspace; editing it leaves saved measurements and already captured drafts unchanged.
Open Plans > plan library > Measurement presets. Search by name, tool, unit, location, layer or group; separate words narrow results and accents are optional. Clear preset search restores the list while retaining your editor draft. Choose Use preset only when the drawing and draft controls allow it. To change library defaults, choose Edit on the named preset, review its defaults and output unit, then Update preset. Check the updated-on-this-device message.
At 200 presets, existing presets remain editable. A search does not change stored capacity. Remove an unused preset before creating another; removal changes the library without deleting measurements or captured drafts made from it. Check the verified local removal message. Keyboard removal moves focus to a nearby usable preset action, Search presets if no match remains, or Create a preset when the unfiltered list is empty; a failed removal focuses Reload presets.
If saving fails, retain the draft and read the message. Use Reload presets for a storage or competing-window problem. If the selected preset changed since editing began, choose Edit to review its current defaults before updating. Correct invalid draft values directly. Switching to another workspace's library clears the editor draft.
The tool determines its output unit. Verify drawing scale and any height or depth you enter before measuring; the preset does not verify dimensions, quantities or prices for you.
A saved-on-this-device message verifies the local preset library only. Check estimate save, Cloud sync and portable recovery separately.
A failed or unverified library write does not apply its draft to new measurements. Drawing and unfinished-draft guards still apply when using a preset.
Choose supported inbox and optional email updates in an available Team or Enterprise workspace. New choices remain unsaved until Rivet confirms Save preferences.
Open the collaboration inbox and choose Notification preferences. Loading saved notification settings reads your current choices; it does not save them. Use In-app inbox or Optional email to review each channel separately.
Choose a supported category or an in-app preset. Unsaved notification choices means you still need Save preferences. Wait for Notification preferences saved before assuming the choices were applied. A later edit replaces that confirmation with the current unsaved state.
If saving fails or settings changed on another device, read the message and use Reload saved settings. Reload keeps each unsaved choice while incorporating untouched remote categories; review both channels before saving again. Tab and Shift+Tab stay inside the dialog, including while saving. Escape, Cancel or Close exits without starting another save. Focus returns to the inbox opener or an available page control. Reopen to check current settings if a request was interrupted.
Optional email requires a verified account email and an explicit category choice followed by Save preferences. An in-app preset does not opt you into email or rewrite independent email consent. A changed account starts with that account's current settings.
Device approvals, role changes, removed access and sync problems stay on. Routine autosync sends no success notification. Account security and billing retain their separate existing surfaces, and old muted activity is not sent again when unmuted.
Solo and Trial do not gain the collaboration inbox through these settings. These choices do not verify an estimate save, Cloud synchronization, workspace access or an issued proposal. Optional emails omit project names, people, comments, amounts and attachments.
A server-accepted team change and a fresh member or invitation list are separate results. Check the current list before repeating a request when its reload is unavailable.
In the Rivet web app, open Account > Team. Owners and admins manage roles, members and invitations; other roles can inspect the available list. An installed local profile does not create online team-management access.
After a change, Rivet reloads the member and invitation lists. A message that the server accepted this team request but the lists could not be verified means the request was accepted and the reload failed; it does not mean the change was undone. Avoid repeating the same invitation, removal or role request.
Use Retry to read current membership, invitations and access. Retry does not resend the accepted change. Check the named member's role, the remaining invitation or the reserved-seat count before any next action. Sign in again if the list stays unavailable.
A rejected invitation keeps its email draft so you can review the reported problem. New invitations require an available Team or Enterprise seat and current paid invitation access. Every invited person uses their own account.
Removing a member asks for confirmation and revokes organization sessions; it does not delete local files on their devices. Device access remains a separate review. Switching organizations still waits for current work and workspace-transition checks.
This guidance grants no membership or permissions. Solo and Trial do not gain new online invitations from a profile or a retry. An accepted invitation request is not proof that email was delivered or that the recipient joined.
Review an inbox invitation before switching workspaces
Check the named workspace and your offered role. Accept and open workspace waits for verified local saving; opening an invitation alone never accepts it.
Open an available workspace invitation in the Rivet web inbox. Check the workspace, inviter, role and expiration before choosing an action. Tab and Shift+Tab stay inside the dialog; while loading, saving or sending a decision, focus stays on the dialog and Escape waits.
Choose Accept and open workspace only when you intend to join and switch. Rivet saves your current work before sending acceptance. If local saving fails, acceptance is not sent. If a request fails or its result cannot be confirmed, stay on the current workspace and use Refresh invitation to check the current status before another decision.
Decline sends a separate decision and waits for its confirmed result. When the dialog is ready, Escape, Close invitation or Done closes it without sending another decision. Focus returns to the opener or an available page control. Refresh only checks status; it does not accept or decline.
An unavailable, expired or changed invitation cannot authorize a different workspace. Keep your own account and current access; opening a notice or Guide answer grants no membership or device approval.
This is the web inbox invitation flow. Solo and Trial do not gain the collaboration inbox from a local profile. Device approval and email delivery remain separate checks. The Guide cannot accept, decline or switch workspaces for you.
Read the named action before confirming a workspace restore, protected Cloud recovery, project deletion or plan deletion. Keyboard focus starts on Cancel when the choices are ready.
Read which workspace, project or plan the confirmation affects and what recovery copy remains. Tab and Shift+Tab stay among the available choices. Opening the confirmation never approves the action; Cancel is the initial keyboard choice when available.
Choose Cancel or press Escape when you do not intend to proceed. While Rivet is verifying a protected operation, the choices are disabled and Escape waits. Focus stays in the dialog, then returns to the original opener or an available page control when it closes.
Confirm only the reviewed action you intend. Rivet still checks current ownership, saved content and recovery requirements before applying it. A failure keeps the reported recovery choices; read the message and retain your backup rather than assuming a restore or deletion succeeded.
The confirmation grants no new permissions and is not proof of Cloud synchronization, estimate approval or an issued proposal. Help cannot confirm, restore or delete data for you.
Available Team and Enterprise Android devices have their own notification settings. In-app and email preferences remain separate, and device setup still requires your explicit choice.
Open the collaboration inbox and choose Android notifications when the control is available. Read the device status. Check connection checks current setup; it does not grant notification permission or enable notifications for you.
Choose Enable on this device only when you intend to start setup. Respond to Android permission controls separately. If permission is blocked, allow Rivet in Android app settings and retry. If this build or service is not configured, use the in-app inbox and read the message.
Review the supported update categories, quiet hours and time zone, then choose Save device preferences. Wait for the current device status before relying on the change. Tab and Shift+Tab stay inside Rivet's dialog, including while an operation is busy; Escape or Close returns to the opener or an available page control.
Closing this dialog does not undo a request already sent. Reopen and check the current status before repeating setup or a save. Check connection, Tab and Escape do not send another Enable or Save request by themselves.
Solo and Trial do not gain collaboration notifications here. Device settings do not verify an estimate save or Cloud synchronization. Help cannot grant Android permission, register a device or change notification choices. Delivery still depends on current access, device verification, Android permission and provider availability.
Keep selected revision decisions through review and saving
Revision choices apply only after an explicit reviewed save. Keyboard navigation does not accept changes or approve a proposal.
In Review revision changes, use Find a change and inspect its source and specification details. Accept shown pending rows, Reject shown pending rows and Keep shown rows pending affect only the pending rows on the current page; review other pages separately.
Read the working, full-proposal and after-selected totals together. Choose Apply selected decisions only for the choices you intend. Rivet still checks the current workspace, retained review and compatible sources before saving; a changed review needs Cancel and a fresh review.
During Saving decisions, Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available controls or the review section. Escape waits for the save to finish and does not send another apply. If saving fails, your selected decisions remain in the review; read the message before retrying.
When saving is finished, Cancel review or Escape closes without applying another decision. Focus returns to the available opener or a page control. Accepted, rejected and pending rows remain explicit; unchanged rows are not automatically verified.
Current editing permissions, original-source checks and recovery requirements still apply. Revision decisions do not issue a proposal, approve the whole estimate or confirm Cloud synchronization. Help cannot choose or save decisions for you.
Confirm reviewed alternate choices before preparing an issue
Opening or navigating the issue review does not confirm an issue. The shown estimate, alternate choices and current editing access still need review.
In Confirm this estimate issue, read the named project, reviewer and proposal total. Tick each alternate only after reviewing its stated status, then tick I have reviewed this estimate and confirm these alternate selections. Included amounts are already in the base bid and are not added again.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available review controls or the review section. Cancel, Close or Escape closes the review without confirming another issue and returns focus to the available opener or a page control.
Choose Confirm and prepare issue only after your review. If preparation is refused, the checked draft remains in the review; read the message before retrying. If the estimate or editing access changes, close this review and start again.
Preparation still requires the original source, current permissions, issue audience and any required Team approval. Inspect the resulting export and retain the issued baseline; opening the review or an export panel alone does not confirm a saved PDF or customer delivery.
Keyboard navigation never checks an alternate or approves an estimate. A reviewed issue does not confirm Cloud synchronization, saved export bytes or delivery. Help cannot select alternates, confirm an issue or export for you.
Review drawing alignment through loading and saving
Choose retained originals explicitly and review independent alignment evidence. Keyboard navigation does not approve an alignment or any quantity or price change.
In Compare drawing revisions, choose different Earlier and Later drawings, then Open original drawings. Rivet verifies original file bytes before opening the previews. Opening the comparison does not select replacement sheets or save an alignment.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available controls or the comparison section. Cancel alignment or Escape can close while originals are loading; a late preview does not reopen the comparison. Focus returns to the available opener or a page control.
Add matching anchor pairs, use a separate independent check, then review the overlay and tick I reviewed the anchors, overlay and independent check. During Saving reviewed alignment, Escape waits and keyboard navigation does not send another save. A failed save keeps the anchor and consent draft; read the message before retrying.
Choose Save reviewed alignment only while the original comparison and editing access remain current. If the project or view changes, Cancel and open a fresh comparison. Review any resulting quantity and price changes separately.
An alignment does not verify drawing scale, accept revision quantities, approve prices, issue an estimate or confirm Cloud synchronization. Original source and independent-check requirements remain. Help cannot choose anchors or save an alignment for you.
Review verified originals, choose Add or Replace for every incoming page, and confirm the resulting changes. Matching labels do not select replacements or removals.
In Review drawing matches, read each incoming revision, page and original-file size. Use Verified original file to reveal its fingerprint. Choose Add as a new sheet or a specific Replace sheet for every incoming page. Two incoming pages cannot replace the same retained sheet. For more than 25 pages, use Previous pages and Next pages to review every page.
Expand Remove existing sheets only to inspect or deliberately select removals. Opening it never selects a removal. Choose Review changes, inspect the added, replaced and removed totals, then tick I confirm these sheet matches and removals. Changing a match or removal requires a new review and confirmation; navigation never checks the box.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available controls or the review section, skipping controls inside closed disclosures. Enter or Space opens or closes a focused disclosure summary without choosing a match. Cancel import or Escape closes without applying and restores an available opener or page control. If the project changed, cancel and start a fresh import.
Choose Apply drawing import only after confirming current matches. Wait for the import and current local-save status. Review affected quantities and prices separately and check Cloud status before relying on another device's copy.
Selected removals follow existing live-measurement deletion rules while retained drawing history and issued sources remain separate. Replacements retain original drawing history and mark affected measurements for review; they do not approve quantities, prices or an estimate issue. Original-file, unfinished-draft, current-project and edit-access checks still apply. Help cannot choose matches, select removals, confirm or import drawings for you.
Choose and check one Excel worksheet before reviewing quantities
Select the intended worksheet explicitly, including any marked hidden sheet. Continuing opens a separate quantity review; it does not apply imported rows.
In Choose a worksheet, select the intended sheet and read its data-row count and hidden label. The first row supplies field headers. Rivet does not calculate formulas or import their cached results; correct blocking issues in the source workbook. A sheet with no data rows cannot continue.
Read Worksheet checks and use Previous checks and Next checks when more than 30 issues are listed. Choose Review quantities only for the selected eligible sheet. If the review is refused, the selection and checks page remain; read the message before retrying. Continuing still requires the original estimate and editing access.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available controls or the review section. Cancel, Close or Escape closes without importing rows and restores an available opener or page control. If the estimate or editing access changed, close the review and start again. Help cannot select a sheet or continue for you.
In the separate quantity review, inspect mapped fields, original values, errors and any loss acknowledgement before explicitly confirming an import. Wait for current local saving and check Cloud status before relying on another device's copy.
A cached formula result is stored from an earlier spreadsheet calculation and is not a fresh calculation guarantee. Opening or continuing this worksheet review does not import rows, approve quantities or prices, issue an estimate or confirm local saving or Cloud synchronization.
Review original values and losses before confirming spreadsheet lines
Inspect quantities, costs, omissions and original fields before importing. Paging or opening a disclosure does not acknowledge losses or apply rows.
In Review spreadsheet import, read ready, error and skipped counts. Review every row with Previous and Next, 20 rows per page, and source disclosures with Previous disclosures and Next disclosures, 30 per page. Open Original fields for row to compare raw values, including unmapped columns; Enter or Space toggles the disclosure without executing its text. Correct all row errors in the source before importing; a table with no ready rows cannot import.
Compare the shown base quantity, repeat count, priced quantity, unit cost, waste and markup. Review omissions, skipped data, unmapped values and defaults, then deliberately tick their acknowledgement when offered. Navigation never ticks it. A refused confirmation before applying keeps the acknowledgement and both pages; read the message before retrying.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available controls or the review section. Cancel, Close or Escape closes without confirming and restores an available opener or page control. If the estimate or editing access changed, close and import again. Choose Import lines only after reviewing current values and required acknowledgement; Help cannot check or confirm them for you.
After confirming, wait for current local-save verification. If local saving cannot be verified, read the save message and resolve it before relying on the imported copy. Check Cloud status separately before relying on another device's copy.
Spreadsheet import does not create measured geometry or set drawing scale. Opening the review does not approve prices, issue an estimate or establish saved export bytes, local-save verification or Cloud synchronization. Original project, account, access, items and authority checks still apply.
Review original PDF annotations before adding supported marks
Import supported review marks from the selected original PDF page after reviewing unsupported content and appearance changes. Quantities, scale, calibration and prices stay separate.
Select the intended drawing and choose Import PDF annotations. Read the named original page, ready-mark and unsupported-annotation counts. The positions diagram shows only prepared review marks, not the original drawing or PDF appearance. Correct source annotation errors before importing; a page with no supported marks cannot import. Existing review marks are kept and no measured quantities, scale, calibration or prices are imported.
Use Previous and Next to inspect every source annotation, 20 per page. Open Original fields for annotation with Enter or Space to inspect literal fields; actions and measurement text are not executed. Review unsupported content and appearance changes, then deliberately tick the acknowledgement. Navigation never ticks it. Choose Import marks only for the current reviewed page and original drawing.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available controls or the review section, including during Saving annotations. Escape waits while saving and does not send another import. If saving is refused before committing, the page and acknowledgement remain for review. When idle, Cancel, Close or Escape closes and restores an available opener or page control. If the drawing, project or editing access changed, close and start again.
Wait for current local-save and interface verification. A message that annotations were saved to their original workspace or need interface recovery does not mean the save was undone; follow the message and keep Rivet open while it refreshes. Check Cloud status separately before relying on another device's copy. Help cannot check the acknowledgement or import marks for you.
Original-file fingerprints, current drawing/project/account/edit access and save ownership are checked again before applying. Review marks do not verify drawing scale, create measured geometry, approve prices or issue an estimate. This controlled review does not certify PDF appearance fidelity or customer delivery.
Review affected quantities before applying scale or geometry
Compare every affected measurement and takeoff before applying scale, a run split or join, or holes. Saved estimate dollars require a separate Refresh.
Read the named drawing and all before, after and change columns. Scroll each table sideways to see every column. Scale changes keep counts unchanged; selected calibration reviews list excluded measurements and their reasons. Apply changes returns affected measurements to Draft and affected takeoffs to Review. Saved estimate prices stay unchanged until a separate Refresh; the estimate amounts shown here are a preview.
For split or join, compare the takeoff totals: rounding each mark separately can change their sum. A split at a region boundary can still need explicit calibration review for each piece. For holes, compare gross area, holes removed once and net area, then check the displayed perimeter rule. Opening the review never applies these changes. Choose the named Apply action only after reviewing its current impact.
Focus starts at the review heading. Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available review controls or return to the heading when none are available. Cancel or Escape closes without applying and restores an available opener or page control. If the drawing, selection, project or editing access changed, cancel and start a fresh review. Help cannot confirm or recalculate quantities for you.
After applying, verify the affected quantities and review status and wait for current local-save verification. Review estimate lines separately before choosing Refresh. Check Cloud status before relying on another device's copy; changing geometry does not approve prices or issue an estimate.
Current source, selection, project, account, access and save ownership checks still apply. Cancelling keeps the original geometry, quantities and drawing. The review retains original calibration exclusions, full before/after rows and explicit confirmation; focus movement grants no authority and Help makes no changes.
Review the named reusable assembly before deleting its library definition. Existing estimate lines keep their detached assembly snapshot.
Open Assemblies and find the intended reusable assembly. Choose its Delete action and read the name in the confirmation. Opening it starts on Cancel and never deletes anything. Deleting the library definition leaves estimate lines already created from it unchanged.
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between available confirmation controls. The background stays unavailable until the confirmation closes. If no controls are available, focus stays on the confirmation. Escape cancels before deletion starts; during Deleting it waits for the original attempt and never submits another deletion.
Choose Delete assembly only for the named definition when you intend to remove it. If deletion is refused, read the error; the named confirmation and unsaved editor draft remain available. Cancel or Escape closes the confirmation once the attempt ends. Focus returns to the original Delete action when available, otherwise to an available workspace control.
After a successful deletion, check the library status and your current local-save verification. A draft editing that deleted definition closes. Other assemblies and existing estimate quantities, rates and cost lines remain separate.
Check Cloud status separately when using a shared workspace. This confirmation does not bypass save ownership, permissions or recovery checks.
This guidance covers ordinary reusable assemblies. Advanced scope recipes use their own review workflow. Rivet Help explains the action and never deletes a definition for you.
Review disconnection, named-device revocation, password setup or Cloud deletion separately. Each action still checks the current account and workspace.
Read the confirmation title and message before acting. Disconnect device affects this device; Revoke names the intended device. Local device data remains available. Send setup email requests a password setup link for the signed-in owner and does not delete Cloud. Opening a confirmation never approves its action.
For Delete Cloud workspace, read the permanent deletion warning, deliberately enter the exact uppercase DELETE phrase and your Rivet account password, then choose Delete Cloud workspace only when intended. Local project files are not deleted by Cloud deletion. Showing or hiding the password keeps the entered value; it does not approve deletion. Rivet Help never reads or requests your password.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available controls or the confirmation when none are available. The background stays unavailable. Escape and Cancel close the review before an action starts; during Working, Escape waits without closing a parent dialog or submitting another action. On closing, focus returns to the available original action or another workspace control.
If the signed-in account, workspace or device connection changes, the original action may be refused. Read the current message, reopen Cloud Settings and review the current state. A confirmation does not grant permission or bypass current ownership and security checks.
After acting, check the resulting Cloud status separately from local-save verification. A password setup or temporary busy state is not proof that Cloud was deleted or a device was revoked.
This guide describes the existing explicit security controls. Device permissions, current account and workspace authority, exact confirmation values and server validation still apply. It never performs the action for you.
Prepare a revision proposal before accepting changes
Compare an edited project draft or identify a specification change, then save a review without changing the working estimate.
Open Revision proposals to inspect saved reviews or prepare a new proposal. For drawing or price changes, duplicate the project, edit that draft with Plans and Estimate, then choose it as Proposal draft. For a specification change, enter the note and select its affected measurements. Select shown measurements adds only the current page; use the other pages and search to inspect your selection.
Read the selected draft, review sheet, drawing alignment and proposed impact together. Geometry changes require a verified alignment. Choose Save proposal and review only for the intended proposal; saving opens a separate decision review and leaves the working estimate unchanged. Opening a saved review does not accept its changes.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available proposal controls, or on the review when none are available. The background stays unavailable. Escape and Close proposals close before saving starts; during Saving proposal, wait for the original attempt. If saving is refused, the entered note, draft and selection remain for review and retry. Closing returns focus to the available opener or another workspace control.
If the workspace changed, close and reopen proposals. The stale proposal cannot be saved. Current editing permissions, source evidence and local-save ownership still apply; check the resulting saved review and local-save status separately from Cloud synchronization.
Use the decision review to accept selected changes, reject them or keep them pending. Preparing a proposal does not issue an estimate or automatically verify unchanged measurements.
Rivet Help explains this review workflow and cannot select measurements, save a proposal or accept changes for you. The working estimate's rates, currency and issued baselines retain their existing checks.
Inspect retained calibration and independent dimension checks
Review the current sheet's printed references and historical checks without changing a saved scale, measurement or price.
In Plans, open Plan tools when needed and choose Scale evidence for the current sheet. Saved calibration selects the evidence to inspect. Read Current scale and drawing or Historical reference together with the drawing revision, page and rotation. Uniform evidence shows its printed distance; separate X/Y evidence retains both horizontal and vertical references. Selecting history never applies that scale to your measurements.
Inspect Independent dimension checks and Reference details for the original entry, units, endpoints and captured time. Within 1% review threshold describes a saved comparison, not field accuracy certification. Outside 1% review threshold, a historical check, an unavailable drawing or no saved check still needs your review. Preserve an invalid or unsupported workspace for recovery instead of treating unreadable history as valid evidence.
Tab and Shift+Tab stay on available evidence controls, or on the evidence dialog when none are available. Close scale evidence and Escape close the review without changing quantities or prices or closing a parent review. Focus returns to the available Scale evidence action, reopening its Plan tools menu when needed, or to another available workspace control.
Use the existing calibration and independent dimension-check tools when you intend to collect new evidence. Opening history does not recalibrate, confirm an independent dimension or automatically approve the estimate. Current source, orientation, reference and region checks still apply.
This is a read-only evidence review. Rivet Help cannot select a scale, alter measurements, confirm accuracy or save a check for you.
Find your loaded assignments and current review requests
Search My Work by words from the task, details or project, then inspect the intended item before opening it.
In a connected Team or Enterprise workspace, open My Work for your own open assignments and current pending review requests. Search My Work ignores case and accent marks and matches every entered word across the title, details and project name in any order. For example, stair Harborview can find a Harborview task whose details mention the stair. Search does not select, complete or open a task for you.
Use the project selector and Open work, Overdue, Due today or Awaiting your review cards to narrow loaded results. The result count describes matching loaded items; the summary and project coverage still describe the original loaded work. Show more work reveals the next batch of matching items. Saved or incomplete results and projects still waiting to be checked are not a complete workspace search; use Refresh or Continue checking when available.
Select the intended result, read its exact assignment or review details, then choose Open assignment or Open review and revision. Your current project must pass the existing save and navigation checks before switching. If opening is refused, My Work and the selected details remain; read the error before retrying. Searching or opening a review does not approve a revision or change the estimate.
Clear the search or choose another project or card when nothing matches. Search does not change due dates, priority ordering, assignment owners or shared records. On a phone, Back to My Work returns from the details to your result list.
If access, account or workspace identity changes, reconnect and inspect current coverage. Search cannot reveal another person's work or grant Team features to Solo. Offline summaries retain their saved or incomplete warning until current checks succeed.
Rivet Help cannot search private Cloud records, switch projects, complete assignments or approve reviews for you. My Work retains current account, named-device, latest-revision, permissions and guarded-open requirements.
Move through loaded assignments, current review requests and project coverage while focus stays inside My Work.
Open My Work from your connected Team or Enterprise workspace. Tab and Shift+Tab move among available controls inside the window, including Project coverage. Enter activates the focused button or opens the coverage disclosure. Hidden and disabled controls are skipped; typing stays with the focused My Work field.
Select the exact assignment or review and read its details before choosing Open assignment or Open review and revision. The current project must still pass its original save and navigation checks. A refused opening retains My Work and the selected details; read the error and retry deliberately. Keyboard access does not complete an assignment, approve a review or change the estimate.
On a phone, use Back to My Work to return from details to the loaded list. Close or Escape dismisses My Work and returns focus to an available opener or workspace control. Opening Project coverage explains checked, saved and incomplete results; it does not refresh, sync or grant access by itself.
Refresh checks current work when available. Search and filters apply to loaded records, and Continue checking is separate from showing more matching items. Original account, named-device, current-review and permission requirements still apply.
Rivet Help explains available controls without opening team records, writing assignments, bypassing saved-work checks or certifying screen-reader or physical-device behavior.
Find a loaded team assignment, discussion or review
Search loaded Team work titles and notes, within the existing work filter, then select the intended shared record.
Open a connected project's Team workspace and choose Team work. Search team work matches every entered word across each record's displayed title and note, ignoring case and accent marks and allowing any word order. Review requests also match their displayed revision label. Search narrows the loaded list without selecting, opening, completing or editing a record.
Keep the intended Open work, Assigned to me or All work filter. Search cannot bypass that filter: Open work excludes the original closed statuses, Assigned to me keeps the current assignee rule, and All work includes records already available to this project and account. The count describes matching loaded records, including cached results; it is not a workspace-wide search or proof that offline records are current. Clear search restores the existing filter and newest-first order.
Select the exact result and read its details before using its discussion, linked context, assignment or review actions. Original role, account, record-version, current-revision and saved-update checks still apply. On a phone, Back to team work returns to the list. Shared revisions keeps its original list; returning to Team work retains your search. Search never approves a revision, publishes an issue or grants an editing role.
Read Offline / connecting, cached member choices, pending-update, recovery and access messages separately from the result count. Refresh checks current project access and records when available. Access denial removes protected records, and an account change starts the new account's view and search.
Rivet Help cannot fetch private team records, alter assignments, publish, approve, resolve recovery or change another person's permissions. Search uses the original decrypted records already admitted by the connected project client.
Use Team workspace controls without leaving its focus boundary
Move among available Team workspace controls, record details and recovery disclosures while focus stays inside the window.
Open the project's Team workspace. Focus starts inside the window. Tab and Shift+Tab move among available buttons, fields and disclosure summaries, skipping hidden or disabled controls. Enter opens a focused disclosure or activates its button. Opening Recovery backup files makes its existing controls reachable; it does not export or restore a file by itself.
Read the exact assignment, discussion, published revision or saved recovery reference before using its actions. Typing stays with the focused Team field. Original account, role, record-version, current-review, pending-update and recovery checks still apply. Keyboard access does not save a form, publish an issue, approve a review or choose a recovery decision for you.
Close or Escape dismisses Team workspace and returns focus to an available opener or workspace control. Closing does not send the unsubmitted form; reopening may retain that text while you remain in the same project and account, but it is not a saved team update. Save team work is the explicit save action. Saved pending updates keep their original sync and recovery behavior. Members closes this window before opening Account Center.
On a phone, Back to team work or Back to shared revisions returns from details to the existing list. Read connecting, cached-member, pending-update and access messages separately. A result count or available control does not grant new permissions.
Rivet Help cannot send drafts, restore encrypted files, approve revisions or override account and role checks. Controlled keyboard checks do not certify a screen reader or physical device.
Find affected measurements without losing your proposal selection
Narrow the current review sheet's measurement names and IDs, then deliberately select the affected page or individual measurements.
In Revision proposals, choose the intended Review sheet and use Find affected measurements. Search matches every entered word across each eligible measurement's name and ID, ignoring case and accent marks and allowing any word order. The matching count covers the chosen sheet's filtered list; the visible page contains at most 25 measurements. Search does not select, verify or change a measurement.
Select shown measurements adds only the current visible page. Use the other pages or individual checkboxes deliberately. Existing selected IDs remain selected when a search hides them, and their total stays visible. Clear search returns to the first page without deselecting; Clear selected measurements is the separate selection action. Changing Review sheet keeps its original selection reset and sheet-admission checks.
Read the specification note, selected draft, review sheet, alignment, selected total and proposed impact together before Save proposal and review. Original editing permissions, source evidence, workspace ownership, save, busy and stale checks still apply. If saving is refused, the note, draft and selection remain. Saving prepares a separate decision review; searching or selecting does not accept changes or alter the working estimate's quantities and prices.
For drawing or price changes, edit the separate project draft with normal Plans and Estimate tools. The affected-measurement selection identifies current-project measurements for a specification note; it is not a search of all project drafts or a replacement for verified geometry alignment.
Rivet Help cannot choose affected scope, change costs, accept a proposal or save a review. Confirm the exact selected measurements and original source/ownership checks yourself.
Confirm inventory ledger actions with the keyboard
Review the completed-project usage or exact movement and reversal reason before explicitly appending immutable inventory entries.
In Inventory center, preview Completed-project consumption before Post usage, or open Activity and choose Reverse for the intended movement. The confirmation keeps keyboard focus inside it; Tab and Shift+Tab visit available controls. Usage starts on Cancel, while reversal starts in its required reason field. Escape or Cancel closes only the confirmation without posting usage or appending a reversal.
Read the project, entry count or movement description and enter the intended reversal reason. Post usage and Append reversal are separate explicit actions. The confirmation closes before the original ledger callback runs; that closure alone does not mean the action succeeded. Read the resulting status. A refused save or changed preview cannot append inventory entries; refresh and review the preview again when required. Original once-only, stock-link, unit, completed-project and current-preview checks remain.
A reversal appends an equal and opposite linked entry and keeps the original movement in the immutable ledger. Usage follows the reviewed linked estimate quantities; it does not reprice or change the estimate. Closing returns focus to an available opener or control in the Inventory modal, then an available workspace control if that modal has gone. Rivet Help cannot choose a movement, supply a reason, confirm, export or change inventory.
Controlled native keyboard and CSS target checks do not certify physical Android operation, screen readers or contractor acceptance.
Move focus among Overview, Stock, Activity and Setup, then explicitly activate the section you intend to use.
In Inventory center, Tab enters the selected section tab. Left and Right move focus through Overview, Stock, Activity and Setup and wrap at either end; Home and End focus the first or last tab. Enter or Space opens the focused section. Moving focus alone keeps the current section and its unsent form in place. Complete an intended form action before opening another section, which retains the original unsent-form reset.
Tab leaves the tablist for the current section's controls; Shift+Tab returns through the normal control order. Re-entering the tablist uses the selected section. Phone tabs scroll into view when focused and use larger targets. Home, End and arrow keys in search fields retain normal text editing; Up and Down retain normal scrolling. Keyboard navigation does not create a location, track stock, post usage or append a reversal.
Stock and Activity retain their existing shared search text when changing sections. If the next section shows no matching rows, deliberately use Clear before finding the intended record. Usage and reversal still require their original explicit confirmation, exact source/reason and current-preview/ledger checks. Read the resulting action status; choosing a section or closing a confirmation is not proof of a saved inventory action.
Rivet Help cannot activate a form, edit a ledger, supply a reversal reason or confirm an action. Local native-key and CSS checks do not certify a physical device or screen reader.
Find inventory records across their existing details
Combine words from current stock or ledger details, then review the exact record and its original action controls.
In Inventory center, open Stock or Activity and use its visible Search label. Every entered word must match across the record's existing fields, in any order and ignoring case and accent marks. Stock searches SKU, cost-library code and description, default location and preferred supplier. Activity searches movement type, reference, note, stock SKU and cost-library description, and movement location. For example, combine a location word and SKU rather than typing one exact phrase.
The matching count describes the current section's filtered records. Stock retains the original active-item admission; Activity retains archived-item history and its original newest-first ledger order. Searching does not change on-hand balances, reorder facts, full stock value, estimate quantities or prices. Both sections retain the shared query. Clear or the no-match Clear search removes only that query and returns focus to search; a form's unsent values remain while staying in its section.
Read the exact record before choosing an action. An existing linked reversal keeps its original entry and cannot be reversed again through the original control. Opening Reverse prepares the separate reason/confirmation; searching or Cancel never appends a movement. Posting usage still requires the completed-project preview and current stock/unit/ledger checks. Explicit section activation retains its original unsent-form reset, and an action is saved only when its original callback succeeds and status confirms it.
Rivet Help cannot choose stock, set a price, supply a reversal reason, confirm or export records. The count covers current workspace records, not other accounts or a live supplier catalogue.
Use the named table area to scroll columns without changing a balance or ledger entry.
In Inventory center, open Stock or Activity and find the matching record with Search. Stock on hand and Inventory history keep their original six-column tables and column headings. Long material details wrap within a cell; narrow windows retain horizontal scrolling so quantities, reorder levels, status and actions remain associated with the same record. The surrounding heading and scrolling instructions stay within the window.
Use Tab to reach the named table area and its visible focus outline. Left and Right scroll that area when its columns do not fit. Shift+Tab returns to the preceding control; Tab continues through the existing controls. In Activity, the next available Reverse control belongs to its own exact ledger row and scrolls into view. Search-field arrows retain text editing, and moving or scrolling focus does not submit the movement form.
Read the exact item, location, signed quantity and original reference before acting. Balances still come from the immutable ledger; pricing still comes from the cost library. Reverse opens the existing reason and separate confirmation; Cancel appends nothing and a linked reversal retains its original receipt. Scrolling, closing a confirmation or reading Help is not proof of a save: inspect the original action status after explicitly confirming an intended change.
Rivet Help cannot scroll a table, choose a ledger row, post a movement or confirm a reversal. Native keyboard and CSS checks do not certify a physical device or screen reader.
Combine existing assembly and component words while retaining your unsent editor and per-record quantity.
In Assembly library, use the visible Search assemblies label. Every word must match across the assembly's existing name, description, unit, trade, section or notes, or its components' code, description, cost category or unit. Words can appear in any order; case, accent marks and equivalent fullwidth text do not require an exact phrase. The list keeps its original saved-record order and excludes measured recipe definitions, which retain their separate reviewed recipe workflow.
The polite count compares matching records with the saved ordinary assemblies available in this list. A recipe-only catalogue therefore has zero ordinary assemblies and offers Create first assembly; it does not treat recipes as ordinary costing records. Clear or the no-match Clear search removes the query, returns focus to search and restarts the initial displayed batch. Searching and clearing keep your unsent editor values and each assembly's entered quantity, even while its card is hidden.
Review the exact saved assembly and quantity before choosing Add. Add uses the existing detached frozen component/price snapshot and organization defaults; editing the library does not reprice older estimate lines. A pending Add disables additional Add controls; a refused action keeps the query, quantity and unsent editor for review. Search and Clear never save, add or delete. Delete still opens its separate exact-record confirmation; Cancel changes nothing. Read the original action status after any intended explicit action.
Rivet Help cannot create an assembly, choose a price or quantity, add to an estimate, delete or confirm. Search covers current saved metadata, not a live supplier catalogue or other accounts.
Show more existing matches without losing your editor, quantities or exact record order.
Assembly library initially displays up to 25 matches from the full saved ordinary list. The toolbar count describes every matching saved record; the list footer says how many matches are currently shown. This is a display batch, not a saved-record limit. Measured recipe definitions keep their separate workflow and are excluded from ordinary assembly results. Search can directly find a matching record beyond the initial batch.
Use the footer's Show more button to append the next batch in the original order. Native Enter or Space works; focus moves to the first newly shown assembly heading so the next Tab reaches that record's quantity control. Each appended batch retains previously shown cards and their entered quantities. Search changes or Clear restart the initial batch, preserving each record's committed quantity and your unsent editor; Clear returns focus to search.
Showing more reads existing saved records and never saves, adds, duplicates, deletes or reprices an estimate. Review the exact saved record and quantity before using its separate Add, Edit, Duplicate or Delete control. Add retains its detached frozen price snapshot and pending/refusal behavior; Delete still requires the existing exact-record confirmation. Extending the list is not proof of an estimate change or a completed save; read the original action status after an explicit intended action.
Rivet Help cannot extend a list, choose a quantity or saved assembly, save, add to an estimate or confirm deletion. Local keyboard/display checks do not certify a physical device or independently tested screen reader.
Keep your place when opening, closing or saving an assembly
Enter the assembly name directly and return to the saved list without losing the exact draft or version.
Choose New assembly, Edit or Duplicate deliberately. Focus moves to Assembly name in the inline editor, including when replacing an already open draft. Edit uses a detached copy with the next original version; Duplicate has its own identity and starts at version 1. The existing enclosing Assembly library modal still owns normal Tab navigation and Escape. Opening the editor does not save or add anything to an estimate.
Close assembly editor or Cancel dismisses the unsent editor and returns focus to the exact opening button when it remains available. If your search has hidden that record, focus returns to Search assemblies and retains the query. A later deliberate focus move is respected. Editing the reusable library does not reprice older estimate lines; review the original quantities and component prices before a separate Add.
Use Save version only when the name, components, quantities and prices are ready. Save keeps the original detached frozen snapshot, validation and versioning. While pending, Save cannot submit twice. A refused Save keeps your draft and the original stored version; if disabling Save lost focus to the page body, focus returns to Save for review or retry. Successful Save closes the editor, returns focus when appropriate and reports the exact saved name and version. Read that status before assuming the action succeeded.
Rivet Help cannot open, dismiss, save, duplicate, add or delete an assembly. Native focus and original snapshot checks do not certify a physical device or screen reader.
Enter newly added components directly and keep a useful focus destination when removing an unsent row.
In an open assembly editor, choose Add selected cost or Add manual component deliberately. Focus moves to the new row's Description in both Simple and Pricing details. Add selected cost copies the chosen original cost code, unit, rate, waste, markup and taxable setting into your detached draft; later library changes do not silently replace that copy. A manual row starts with the existing defaults and zero unit cost, so enter and verify its description, quantity and rate before saving.
Use the named Remove button only for the intended component. Focus moves to the next remaining Description, or the previous Description when removing the last row. Removing every row leaves focus on Add manual component. The remaining descriptions and committed quantities/rates retain their original order and values; the per-unit cost check recalculates from those exact remaining inputs. A later deliberate move to search is respected. Removing a draft row does not delete a cost-library item or reprice an older estimate.
Component additions and removals change the unsent editor only: they never save a definition or add estimate lines. Keep the exact assembly name, unit and intended version under review, and read the calculated component/per-unit totals. Save version retains the separate original validation, detached frozen snapshot and pending/refusal behavior; Add to estimate is a separate explicit action on a saved assembly. Cancel discards the unsent editor and keeps the original saved definition.
Rivet Help cannot insert, remove, price, save or add a component to an estimate. Local native focus/cost checks do not certify a screen reader or physical device.
Search cost rates across existing codes and descriptions
Find a reusable rate by its code, description, cost type or unit, then review the exact rate before a separate action.
In Cost library, use the visible Search rates field. Each query word can match any of the original rate's code, description, cost type or unit in any order. Case, accents, equivalent decomposed Unicode and fullwidth forms do not require an exact contiguous phrase. The list preserves its original order; the polite count describes matches out of all saved rates. Price, waste, markup, taxable status and live supplier data are not search fields.
Use Clear beside Search rates to remove a query and return focus to the field. If no rates match, use Clear search in the recovery message; the original draft in Add a reusable cost or Edit reusable cost, including its current editing identity, remains intact. A zero-rate catalogue still shows the original rate editor. Searching and clearing never modify a rate or its place in the estimate.
Review the exact code, description, cost type, unit, rate, waste, markup and taxable setting before using Use, Edit, Delete or the editor's save. Use copies the current rate into the separate estimate line workflow; editing a library rate does not silently reprice older estimate lines. Delete retains its existing inventory-linked history protection. CSV Import and Export are separate, explicit file actions; search never runs them or sends rates elsewhere.
Rivet Help cannot search your live supplier catalog, choose a rate, edit, save, use or delete it, or import/export a file. It does not inspect another project or account.
Inspect your account's recent security events, then use the current control only when you intend to change protection or access.
Open Account Center > Security. Before choosing a workspace, use Account security and billing > Security notices; personal history does not require Team access.
Read the event and time. Notices cover new sign-ins, password changes, confirmed MFA changes, workspace deletion scheduling or cancellation, and device revocation.
Choose All or Unread and use Load older notices when offered. Use Mark read separately. Mark all read covers eligible history up to the current snapshot, including older notices not yet loaded; later arrivals remain unread.
Use Manage sign-in protection for current security controls, or Review current devices for sessions and device access. Before workspace selection, you can inspect sessions; Cloud device management needs an available workspace.
Use Review deletion request only for the named workspace and exact request. Check its current status and recovery deadline before using any available cancellation control.
Opening a notice does not mark it read, enable MFA, revoke access or cancel deletion. Expired or unavailable requests have no substitute action, and history grants no access to a former workspace. Security notices stay on. History is retained for a limited period; sign in again if the current account session changes.
Match a billing or trial event to its exact workspace, current access and the correct subscription-management route.
Open Account Center > Billing, or Account security and billing > Billing notices before workspace selection. This private list does not require a Team inbox.
Read the event and date: trial ending or ended, payment failed, access restored, plan changed, cancellation scheduled or subscription ended. Choose All or Unread and Load older notices when offered.
Choose Review billing when available. Check the workspace name and current plan and access; the notice records an earlier event.
For another accessible workspace, choose Select this workspace to continue and complete any save or transition check. Then choose Continue to billing controls when your current role permits.
Use the website controls for website subscriptions and Google Play controls for Play purchases. Opening provider management is a separate action. If you cannot manage the subscription, contact its owner or billing manager.
Use Mark read separately. Mark all read covers eligible history up to the current snapshot, including older notices not yet loaded; later arrivals remain unread. Opening the notice or changing workspace does not mark it read or start checkout.
Commercial detail requires current owner, administrator or billing-manager access. Other eligible members see only generic capability changes. A missing source or former workspace never redirects you to an unrelated subscription. Security and billing histories have separate counts and read controls; older events are not proof of current access.
Keep your requester-only account data privately, separately from a project backup or encrypted Team recovery file.
As an eligible owner or administrator, open Account Center > Exports and choose Request account export. Keep the same account and workspace selected while the file is prepared.
Choose Refresh, or open your ready or failed account-export notice. Opening the notice does not mark it read or download the file.
When ready, check Available until and choose Download. Downloads expire after 24 hours. Cancel download stops the current preparation or handoff.
On Windows, choose a location in Save and wait for the saved result. On Android, choose where to keep the file in the share sheet and confirm that the receiving app saved it. In a browser, check that the started download completed.
Keep the generated extension and save a lasting copy privately. After Android sharing, do this promptly because its temporary handoff copy is only briefly available. A share sheet returning is not proof of a permanent save.
For failed, expired or unavailable exports, use Start a new export and follow the displayed retry wait.
Another administrator cannot use your requester-only file. Rivet encrypts the stored server copy; the downloaded JSON-gzip file must be kept private. It has no account-restore command and does not replace a portable .rivet workspace backup or encrypted Team recovery references. Do not email account exports to ordinary Support.
Check for a currently verified release for your installed edition, review its approved notes, and explicitly open the matching Store or Android download route.
Open Account Center > App updates, or App updates in the account entry before workspace selection. Choose Check for updates while connected.
If a newer verified release is offered, check its app version and package version or build, then choose Review update. Windows package versions can differ from the app version; Android uses its build number and compatible signing identity.
When ready, choose Open Microsoft Store, Open Google Play or Open Android download, as shown for this installation. Keep Store and direct Android installations on their own routes, and follow that route's update instructions.
Use Mark read separately. Opening notes or a download route does not mark a notice read, install an update or restart Rivet. Check the installed app after following the provider's process.
Set Show new app update notices and choose Save update setting. This applies across your account's devices. Turning notices back on lets only new releases create new notices; existing notices keep their read state. Manual checks and review remain available.
Availability requires a currently verified publication for a supported installed Windows or Android edition. A browser session or unrecognized installation cannot supply that identity. Offline checks, unavailable records, candidates and withdrawn releases do not establish an update offer or prove the app is current. Reconnect and check again; preserve local-only work before any uninstall or channel change.
