Website subscriptions
This policy applies to Rivet Estimator subscriptions purchased on rivetestimator.ca and processed by Stripe. It does not apply to subscriptions purchased through Google Play, which are governed by Google Play's billing and refund process.
Cancel future renewal
You may cancel a website subscription at any time through Rivet's Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. Unless a refund is approved or law requires otherwise, paid access continues until the end of the current monthly or annual billing period.
14-day initial payment refund
You may request a refund of your first paid website subscription charge within 14 calendar days after that charge. This window applies to the initial paid subscription purchase, not each renewal. Rivet may refuse a fraudulent or abusive request, a request connected to prohibited use, or another request that applicable law permits Rivet to refuse.
Renewals and billing corrections
Renewal charges are generally non-refundable once a new billing period begins. Rivet will review requests involving a duplicate or incorrect charge, a charge made after a timely cancellation, a service not supplied as described, or another refund required by applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights.
How to request a refund
Email support@rivetestimator.ca with the account email, Stripe invoice or receipt number, payment date, amount, and reason for the request. Do not send a full card number, password, purchase token, or private project file.
Approved refunds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Rivet normally initiates an approved refund within 10 business days. Stripe, the card network, or your financial institution may need additional time to post it.
Digital service; no physical returns
Rivet Estimator is digital software and a related online service, so there is no physical product to return or exchange. The separate 14-day downloaded-app trial lets you evaluate Rivet before purchasing and does not extend the refund window for a later paid subscription.
Google Play purchases
For a subscription purchased in the Android app, request cancellation or a refund through Google Play using the Google account that made the purchase. Google decides those requests under its displayed terms and applicable law.
