Record the source sheet, drawing issue, measurement rule, and assumptions alongside each takeoff.

A reviewer can then follow the quantity back to the drawing and check how it contributes to the estimate.

Match straight and curved scope to the drawing

Use three points to define a circular arc. For other shapes, place 4–64 control points and Rivet draws a smooth adaptive curve through each point.

The finished curve is saved as a Linear or Wall takeoff. Rivet calculates its length using the active sheet scale and uses the entered wall height to calculate curved-wall quantities. Recalibrating the sheet updates the connected measurements.

Continue the project on a permitted device

Rivet is local-first, with optional encrypted Rivet Cloud for carrying a workspace between permitted Windows, Android, and web devices. Each named member can connect up to two devices.

Check the current Cloud revision and agree who will edit the project. Keep a portable backup before a major change or device replacement.
